Who is Richelle?
I am a sex positive, pleasure activist who is passionate about sensuality, sexuality, sexual well being, the LGBTIQ+ community and supporting people to remain sensual/sexual beings for as long as possible. I work from a person focused (see image below) and client led framework , where the person/client is the centre of the focus of the process, sets their own goals and leads where we go together.
I have been passionate about sexuality and diversity since 2001 and worked in the field of sexual well-being since 2005. I have worked in health promotion at a Women's Health Service, delivered sexuality education in schools with Family Planning QLD (now TRUE), designed and delivered sexual health, drugs and Blood Borne Virus education for adults at QLD Injectors Health Network (QuIHN). Most recently I delivered LGBTIQ+ inclusivity consultancy and professional development training around LGBTIQ cultural awareness and inclusivity as the Coordinator of Rainbow Pride @ Work at the QLD AIDS Council (QuAC).
I am a lifetime member of QuAC, a member of the LGBTI Health Alliance, the Society of Australian Sexology (SAS), the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), the AUstralina Community Workers Association (ACWA) and the National Disability Practitioners (NDP) network.
I recently completed my Masters in Sexology and am currently completing my Graduate Diploma in Counselling. Since moving to Tasmania I am in private practice providing counselling and delivering education sessions on a variety of topics.
